*Eaves Cracks ESPN’s Top 10 Mid-Major Performers*

*ESPN.com Insider* John Gasaway recently ranked Appalachian State University’s *Frank Eaves* (Greensboro, N.C./Page) as the No. 6 mid-major college basketball performer in the nation this season.

Gasaway’s list of the nation’s top 10 mid-major performers considers only student-athletes outside of the “Power 5” conferences (Atlantic Coast Conference, Big Ten, Big 12, Southeastern Conference and Pacific 12) and the Atlantic 10, Big East, Missouri Valley Conference, Mountain West Conference and West Coast Conference.

The only Sun Belt Conference representative on Gasaway’s list, Eaves leads the Sun Belt in scoring (20.3 ppg), three-pointers made (70) and threes made per game (3.3) this season.

On a national scale, the Greensboro, N.C. native ranks 11th in three-pointers made per game, 12th in total threes, 22nd in scoring and 33rd in three-point shooting percentage (.435).

Gasaway noted that Eaves’ season from behind the arc bears comparison to Oklahoma’s Buddy Heild.

Eaves and the Mountaineers return to action on Thursday when they host UL Lafayette. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Holmes Center. Visit appstatesports.com/tickets to buy tickets online.
